This historic Cherokee Triangle home here in Louisville was begging for an update. While the home is filled with original charm and character, it was lacking the function this young couple needed in order to not be bumping into each other at every turn. A tight and narrow staircase limited the size of material selections and provided other challenges, but we made it work with a little creativity! We fooled the eye with oversized drapes on a small window and added two dressers instead of one in the master bedroom. The small scaled bathtub fits beautifully in the renovated bathroom. We took over the large and unused hall closet to add a nice sized shower and open up the cramped main bath. The guest room gained a new large closet and built-in desk space and was topped off with light and bright custom window coverings. Ta-da!
